Picking wild blueberries
Today we headed up to the mountains to pick some wild blueberries! Abby wore her cool glasses and a bandana to protect her from the sun.
We didn't carry the camera all the way to the top of the mountain were the berries were, sorry. Abby really liked picking the berries. She was saying, "blueberries. Mmmm. Wow!"
When we got back to the car Hal gave her a daisy to inspect.
Babysitter and poison control!
wasn't sure about the other kids but she likes Miss Jill. She is
going to get to see more of Jill this week because I have a job
interview Friday at Nazareth Middle School. I student taught there
for 7 weeks when I was pregnant. I am hoping they remember good
things about me!
This morning when we were getting dressed to go hiking Abby ate some
of my deodorant. She threw up pretty fast but we called poison
control just to be safe. They said that she will live. The weird
thing is that after I took the deodorant away from her she was
grabbing for it as if she wanted more.

Her hair was still sticking up this morning after I tried to get the bananas out of it!
Carrying her purse.

What a vocABulary!
She can now say just about everything. She repeats EVERYTHING! I
just gave her a kiwi for a snack and she asked, "Dat?" That is a
kiwi Abby. She says, "Oh. Kiwi. Good."

A hard day.
house". Abby went to the sitters by herself for the first time
today. She didn't have much fun. The sitter called to have me come
get her early because she was so upset. When I went to pick her up
she was screaming. The other kids were trying to help her and told
her "mama come back" but she wasn't having it. She fell asleep as
soon as I put her in her car seat. Poor thing. I hope she gets used
to it soon! (Maybe she won't have to the job search is looking
pretty bleak.)

better tomorrow!

Everyone in the bath
and play. So I put her in there and she grabbed her teddy and Harry
Potter and pretended like she was going to sleep. I applauded
because she was showing me that she knows what she is supposed to do
in there! Hooray! When she got out she brought the toys with her.
A few minutes later I heard a splash and "Help! Help!" Abby had
thrown her dolls into the tub!

Hugs, kisses, and messy
Abby is hugging her teddy, ugly doll, Harry Potter doll, and a green ball.
Smooshing all the same toys on the floor. She did this for a half hour before she fell asleep last night.
Running away and up the stairs after I caught her eating corn starch and chocolate chips from the kitchen cabinets. I guess I had better watch her better!

Talking toddler
I asked her what was wrong and she said, "Ow! Ow! I done! I done!"
I'm done too. Can we just skip the rest of her teeth? She can eat
fine with the ones she already has!
Pack and play
for her naps - to make napping easier on everyone, especially when I
return to work. Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday she screamed for 2
hours before falling asleep. I took Thursday and Friday off because
I needed a break. Today it took her an hour to sit down. Then she
fell asleep a half hour later - SITTING UP! She toppled over a bit
and is now sleeping in a very awkward position. SO GLAD SHE IS
SLEEPING! This should keep getting easier. For now, she is staying
in our bed for bedtime. We like waking up with little fingers poking
our eyes and a little voice saying, "EYESzzzzz!" The toes in my
mouth are pretty cute too, if you like that sort of thing.

Those kids have a ball!
Today we went to a really nice park with the moms club. Abby was
awed by some older kids playing with a big ball.
Amanda, one of the moms, let Abby had this little Hummer. Abby thinks it is a bus. You can open the trunk. She played with it for over an hour.
Waiting for the bath to fill - LOOK at all those teeth! She has two molars (top/bottom) on the right side and is working at the molars on the left.

Pa pa?
answering machine. When Abby heard his voice she looked into the
kitchen and said "pa pa?"
Later Hal was watching the video of Abby on her rocking horse at Christmas. Abby heard grandpa's voice on the video and looked around and asked, "pa pa?"
Fish pictures
Abby's favorite dolls. (Grandma's Scary Baby and a Harry Potter look alike.) She is suddenly very interested in these dolls. Carries them around. Gives them hugs and kisses.

The zoo!
Did you hear? We are going to the zoo!
Abby liked looking at the huge rainbow Macaw parrot.
Grandpa held her up to see the Rainbow Lorries. (birds)
After we saw all the animals we stopped for a snack.
Grandpa is so much FUN! Abby and Grandpa are having lots of fun together.
Pockets!
Grandpa has taken over as 'Chief Reader of Books to the Little Princess'
Abby found his pocket yesterday - and found his cell phone inside the pocket. She was surprised that there was a picture of "dad-ee" on the phone.
We told her that the phone was gone and she said "gone" but she kept digging in that pocket.
